Client Manitoba Hydro enjoyed another strong year at the 2010 Utility Communicators International (UCI) Better Communications Competition Awards (BCC) for advertising campaigns developed by MCG.

Manitoba Hydro was recently in Chicago to receive several awards by the BCC, a body that recognizes the best utility advertising and communications work in North America.

The ‘Small Changes Add Up’ campaign won first place in the magazine advertisement category, second place in the single TV ad category and three third-place finishes in the single ad, billboard and editorial/op-ed categories.

“We are pleased with the collaborative working style between Manitoba Hydro and MCG, as well as the strategic direction MCG has provided since becoming our agency of record in 2005,” said Leona Herzog, Manager Business Communications, Manitoba Hydro. “The ‘Small Changes Add Up’ campaign has been well received by our customers and the awareness levels of the Power Smart brand have been steadily increasing for the past few years.”
